Antique Unused Madam Blumer's Blumeroy Egg Substitute Envelope 1910's - Attic and Barn Treasures

Antique Unused Madam Blumer's Blumeroy Egg Substitute Envelope 1910's

$ 3.95

Intact and unused paper envelope for a vegetable based egg substitute known as Madam Blumer's Blumeroy. According to the package directions you would use one pinch of egg saver with a spoonful of flour and enough water to make a paste and add to your dough same as fresh eggs. Cost? The envelope claims a cost of 25 cents and would "make" 48 eggs which would cost $1 - $2.

Manufactured by Lincoln Chemical Works in Chicago, Illinois circa 1910's.

While the contents do not sound appetizing in the least the unused envelope would make a marvelous (and easy to frame) addition to your kitchen.

Measures 3-5/8" x 2-1/4" and in excellent antique condition.
