This highly collectible antique wooden rug hook or punch is in excellent condition. After much research we have determined that this particular hooked rug "machine" can be attributed to Susan Burr. Previous owner attached a loop to display (hang) through the "needle" eye. It is easily removable if you so choose.
This tool is made of two separate pieces of wood and a needle with a hole in it attached to the front of the top part. The two pieces of wood are attached to one another and slide in a slot allowing the top part to move forward and backward.
Measures 9-1/8" overall length x 3" wide at widest point x 1/2" thick
Very interesting piece of history and a great addition to your collection or the collection of one you love.
Please note that any other items seen in the listing other than the parts mentioned above are not included in your purchase.
