Vintage Wood Keepsake Box with Brass Turtle Latch and Overlay Jewelry Chest
Beautifully constructed vintage wood box with detailed brass overlay and a turtle figure latch. The wood and brass have aged well and present a lovely patina. There is a slight separation in the wood near the top left edge as seen in the 4th photo. A couple of the brass nails were replaced at some point in time. Neither of these issues detract from the overall look of the piece but rather enhance it's vintage appeal.
Be sure to take note of the latch..... a detailed turtle body slides up and down to meet the turtle head and cover the latch.
The turtle is a symbol of longevity, endurance and protection.
Measures 7-5/8" x 5-3/4 x 3-5/8" tall
