Early 1960's United Kingdom England Square Auto License Tag
Vintage early 1960's estate find British auto license tag. According to the estate this is from the early 1960's and from our research we have found that it is from the era when the reverse numbering system began. Originally tags were numbered with letters first but when those combinations ran out they began the number first system of numbering.
Large cast aluminum and measuring 9-1/4" x 11". The lower right hand corner is stamped CVD with the V slightly larger that the other two letters. Very good condition with only light wear as shown in the photos. Some discoloration on the back as would be expected.
