1950's Model 103 Featherline collapsible iron has a handle that folds flat for storage or ease in packing for travel. A lever keeps the handle in the upright position and flips up to fold the handle and down again to keep in place. WORKING iron heats up quickly (cools slowly). Temperature dial shows range from 250 degrees to 550 degrees for Linen, Cotton, Silk and Rayon. The manufacture plate on the butt of the iron gives the following info: Model No 103 1100 Watts Featherline Corporation New York 17, New York.
Details: Measures (overall) approximately 8-3/4" long x 4-1/4" wide x 4-1/2" tall (1-3/4" tall with the handle folded down). Very good condition with light scratches on the ironing surface. Comfortable to hold although a bit heavier than our current model of irons.
This iron would be the perfect thing for your vintage laundry room! Look at that fancy handle! And the "wings" on the back!
