A fantastic representation of a large hand sewn vintage quilt top. Bold colors of purple, green, pink, red, gold and various prints. We believe the fabric in this quilt is representative of the fabrics used in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Some swatches appear to have been clothing and some from linens, tablecloths and draperies. This quilt came to us from the estate of an avid collector and world traveler.
Perfect for re-use or finish and use as is.
Condition: Vintage fabric as described. One small hole is noted (and shown in the photos) and looks to be a hole that was cut in the fabric before it was sewn together. Perhaps unnoticed by the seamstress. This is marked by an arrow in the last photo.
You will receive the exact quilt top shown in the photos and described herein. We do our best to accurately describe our items. Please be sure to view all photos.
~ Measurements: Approximately 78” x 61”. The squares are approximately 2-½” x 2-½” and the edging is approximately 2” wide. A few of the squares were pieced together to form the correct size square. Please see photos.
~ Construction/Fabric: This quilt is made from various vintage fabrics. Some are blends some are cotton. The sewing thread appears to be cotton. All hand sewn seams.
Please ask any questions prior to purchase.
